from the poems of Wilfred Owen
Loft Theatre Company, February 1993
Director: David Fletcher
This staged studio piece was part of a themed season of productions
commemorating the First World War. Waiting to head off to
the front are raw conscripts Gus MacDonald, Tim Meacock and me.
Tim looking doomed and youthful; me looking at Tim.
Gus, me (with bald patch) and Tim catching forty winks before being
sent out to die in a hail of bullets.
The cast in a mock-Edwardian ‘family portrait’. Clockwise
from top left: Tim Meacock, Gus MacDonald, me, Anne Wood, Susan
Ashmore, Jacqui Coghlan.
