Quite often, playing the lead in a production with a large supporting
company can be quite lonely. When you’re on stage for most of
the play’s running time, you miss out on all the backstage
bonding. This one was an exception though. The social life was
second to none, and everyone was very supportive of me as the new boy
playing this terrific role.
This suitably posey shot, taken to accompany a newspaper article,
features me wearing a pair of trousers previously worn by Kenneth
Branagh when he played Henry at the RSC. I’d like to think a
little bit of Ken rubbed off on me.
